Donna S.M. Neff, JD TEP CS
Donna became a lawyer later in life after successful careers first as a teacher and then as a consultant and project manager in the high tech industry. After building a successful, high-tech consulting business, she returned to university to complete her law degree in 1994 at the University of Ottawa.
Her 20-plus years as a lawyer has been, and continues to be, focused on helping people plan for, and deal with, illness, incapacity and death. Donna has a particular interest in helping individuals with a disability as she has experienced such needs within her own family. Donna is married with two grown children, and three delightful grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, canoeing, camping, sailing, and travelling. Donna lives with her husband, dog and cat in an 1870’s stone house in rural Ottawa.
She is a Certified Specialist (CS) in Estates and Trusts Law and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Donna has presented seminars and workshops to community groups and businesses on estate planning, guardianship and related issues for families and individuals. She also speaks about legal technology and how it can help professionals improve the delivery of services to their clients and increase accuracy.
She lives with her husband in an 1870’s stone house in a rural area of Ottawa (near Carp). She enjoys spending time with three delightful grandchildren and getting outdoors for canoeing, hiking and camping.
